Activity During WWII

He enlisted in the United States Army Air Force on September 8, 1942, and took his flight school at Luke Field, Arizona. He trained as a co-pilot on a B-25 twin engine bomber. He was assigned to the 5th Air Force, became a First Lieutenant, and served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater of operations. He served in the Western Pacific, in Luzon, and in Japan. He was discharged on November 19, 1945. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars.
