Activity During WWII

He was a C-46 pilot in the United States Army Air Corps who was stationed with the India-China Wing, Air Transport Command (ICWATC) at Lalmanir Hat, India assigned to the 1326 Army Air Force Base Unit. On June 26, 1945 he departed Myitkyna, Burma on a cargo mission over the 'Burma Hump' destined for his home station at Lalmanir Hat, India. His aircraft never arrived and he was declared killed in action one year later on June 27, 1946. Sometime later his remains were found and he was temporarily interred in Barrackpore, India. On March 25, 1949 he was reinterred at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California.
