Activity During WWII

Aerial Gunner, 1st Radio Operator, flew 30 missions in 44th Bomb Group, B-24 Liberators, over Europe 1943-1944. Germany October 1943 to August 1944. Flew 2 missions on D-Day June 6, 1944. Participated in first 2 daylight raids on Berlin March 3, 1944 and March 6, 1944. First radio operator and Top Turret Gunner on B-24 Liberator; survived take-off crash, due to engine failure, with full bomb-load aboard, plane demolished.
