Fourth Fleet from 1942 to 1946 on 4 different ships (a sub, cargo ship, tanker and destroyer). He spent time in Brazil, the Panama Canal and traveled from the Atlantic to Pacific coast. He crossed the International Dateline and equator so he was initiated into shellback to commemorate his 1st crossing of the equator.
