Worked at Bath Iron Works from 1941 to 1943 making destroyers. Enlisted in 1943 and sent to the Army Special Training Program at Westminster College and later the Pacific. Served in the Occupation forces in Japan. Received the Anerican, Asiatic-Pacific and Occupation campaign ribbons and the WWII Victory medal.
