He was on a Navy Transport Ship in late July-Early August 1945. He would have been in the First Wave Of American Invasion Forces To Attack Japan. After the Atomic Bombs were dropped on Japan and they were forced to Unconditional Surrender, he became part of the Occupation Forces. He was Honorably Discharged in April, 1946.
