SAW ACTION IN THE ARDENNES-ALSACE, RHINELAND AND CENTRAL EUROPE CAMPAIGNS. WAS WOUNDED IN ACTION ON JANUARY 10, 1945 WHILE IN BELGIUM. AWARDED THE PURPLE HEART, GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 3 BRONZE SERVICE STARS, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL WITH GERMANY CLASP, COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE AND THE BELGIAN FOURRAGERE.
