Assigned to U.S. Naval Hospitals in the U.S., Greece, Italy, Philippine Islands, China and Greenland. Under Operation Torch he completed nine landings at Casablanca, Oran North Africa, Algeria, Sicily, Salerno, Anzio and Southern France. He was at the D-Day landing. Operation Husky served on USS Biscayne landing at Sicily. Awards: WWII Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Medal with 4 stars, WWII Navy Occupation Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
