Activity During WWII

Enlisted June 26, 1943, Actually entered Active duty July 2 in Eugene. Served aboard the USS YR 36 (attached to Naval Base Adak, Alaska), USS Wren (DD-568), USS Ranger (CV-4), and discharged at Personnel separation center, U.S. Naval Base Bremerton, Washington April 24, 1946. Qualified for Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Prior to entering the service, he worked as a logger at Willamette Iron and Steel in Portland.
