Activity During WWII

HE SERVED AS AN ENGINEER/TAIL GUNNER ON B-17 BOMBERS. ON HIS 7TH MISSION HIS PLANE WAS SHOT DOWN OVER BELGIUM. HE WAS RESCUED BY MEMBERS OF THE FRENCH RESISTANCE AND SPENT EIGHT (8) MONTHS WITH THEIR ORGANIZATION UNTIL HE WAS REUNITED WITH AMERICAN FORCES. HE WAS THEN DEPLOYED TO BERLIN WHERE HE HELPED WITH THE REORGANIZATION OF GERMANY.
