Activity During WWII

Jesse was inducted into the Army on March 18, 1944. He entered into military service as an Army Private, stationed at Fort Benning, Ga. Jessie’s Civil Occupation was Skilled painter, construction, and maintenance. Battery D, 165th Field Artillery Battalion; Duty Soldier III 590. His military occupation was that of a Skilled Soldier III. He was a decorated soldier; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal. He was discharged from the Army on January 16, 1946, from the Separation Center Cp in Shelby, Mississippi.
