Activity During WWII

Worked as a Master Shipbuilder supervising the construction of wooden 183 foot net tenders and 82 foot minesweepers with a crew of over 150 workers. The navy deferred his enlistment as a necessary skilled war worker until the end of 1944, when after appealing directly to the navy Headquarters in Boston, he was allowed to enlist.
