Crew member on an A-20 aircraft attached to 47th Ferrying Squadron, 14th Ferrying Group, Air Transport Command, 3rd Air Force that crashed on 8 march 1943 between Roberts Field, Liberia and destination of Dakar, Senegal. The missing plane was never found. A finding of his death was made 9 March 1944, and he is listed the Tablets of the Missing at North African American Cemetery, Carthage, Tunisia.
