Awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct medal, Navy Combat ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation ribbon, American theater ribbon, Pacific campaign ribbon with 8 stars, the Philippine Liberation ribbon, WWII Victory medal and China service and Occupation ribbons. Continued his service after the war.
