Activity During WWII

He served as a Technical Sergeant in WWII with the 100th Infantry Division (Century Division), 397th Infantry Regiment, Third Battalion, Company I, in the European Theater of Operations. Killed in Action on December 5, 1944, he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the Silver Star Medal for Gallantry in Actin near Ingwiller, France.
