On September 12, 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army traveling from the United States to Australia, New Guinea, and the Philippine Islands. He proudly served our country receiving three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, Honorable Service Lapel Button, WWII Victory Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
