Activity During WWII

9th Air Force, 386th Group, 553rd Bomb Squadron. B-26 Martin Marauder Pilot. Basic training Royal Canadian Air Force, 1940. transferred U.S. Army Air Forces, 1941. Flew from Boxted, Great Dunmow, England and Beaumont-sur-Oise, France. 58 Missions. Also a Pathfinder Pilot. Made an impossible dead stick landing in England after a mission. Shot down November 1944 and Prisoner of War at Stalag Luft 1 (Barth) until the end of war. All his crew survived the war.
