Served in WWII in the Pacific. Was in the 31st Infantry. Was at the fall of Bataan. He was a 2nd Lieutenant. He was on the Bataan Death March and was a Prisoner of War of the Japanese for 3.5 years. Survived. Was a Captain when he returned from captivity. He was awarded the Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, many campaign ribbons. Continued his service after WWII.
