He was a member of 17th Ordnance. He fought on Bataan from December 1941 to April 9, 1942, when he became a Prisoner of War. He took part in the Bataan Death March and was held as a Prisoner of War at Camp O'Donnell, Cabanatuan, and Davao, Mindanao. He was killed when the ship he was on, the Shinyo Maru, was attacked by an American Submarine. He was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and is memorialized on the Tablets Of The Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippine Islands.
