Served with the tank corps in the 33rd Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Division. Enlisted 13 November 1943, Killed in Action 2 March 1945 on the march to take Cologne. He is buried in Henri Chapelle American Cemetery in Belgium. He received the bronze star, and a purple heart with an oak leaf cluster.
