Activity During WWII

As a 1st lieutenant in the Medical Corps, 1st Army under Lt. Gen. Omar Bradley, engagements included Operation Cobra and the break out from Normandy. The 3rd Army became operational and was moved into France after the break out from Normandy. Transferred from the 1st Army to the 3rd Army under Lt. Gen. George Patton, August 1944. Engagements included the Siege at Bastogne and the Battle of the Bulge. Promoted to Captain by Lt. Gen. George S. Patton on January 1, 1945. Continued with the 3rd Army and the advancement east across the Rhine. Liberated concentration camps while crossing through Germany and into Czechoslovakia.
