Activity During WWII

He served as a Private First Class in WWII with the 100th Infantry Division (Century Division), 397th Infantry Regiment, Second Battalion, Company F, in the European Theater of Operations. He was Wounded in Action, and was Prisoner of War being detained by Germany from January 9, 1945 to March 6, 1946. He was held at Stalag 9B Bad Orb Hessen-Nassau, Prussia. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
