Entered service on 16 September 1944 at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Trained at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, Camp Fannin, Texas and Fort Ord, California. Served with the 6th Infantry Division 'Sight Seein Sixth' 1st Infantry Regiment, Company K. Division had 219 consecutive days of continuous combat in the Pacific Theater of Operations on the island of Luzon. Killed in action on 17 April 1945 on Luzon during the attack on Woodpecker Ridge near the junction of the Boso-Boso and Marikina Rivers. Rank: Private.
