Activity During WWII

Drafted at age 18 (December 1944 Fort Meade, Maryland). Landed on Manila, Philippine Island mid June 1945. Served with 1st Cavalry Division on Luzon, July and August 1945. Landed Japan September 2, 1945 with 1st Cavalry Division. Served Army of Occupation September 2, 1945 to September 11, 1946. Returned to states. Discharged at Fort Bragg, November 1946.
