Activity During WWII

He served as a Private in WWII with the 100th Infantry Division (Century Division), 398th Infantry Regiment, Third Battalion, Company K, in the European Theater of Operations. He was a Prisoner of War and was detained by Germany from April 5, 1945 to July 7, 1945. He was held at Stalag 5A Malschbach Ludwigsburg Wurtemberg. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
