Enlisted on August 29, 1942 in Los Angeles, California in the Army Air Corps. Attended Air Force Armament School in Indianapolis, Indiana for 12 weeks. In August 1943, sent overseas, where he served in England and France for 2 1/2 years. His Military Occupational Specialty was Sheet Metal Worker. Badges and Citations received Army Air Forces Technician Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, WWII Victory Medal. Honorable discharge on January 15, 1945 at Fort MacArthur, California.
