Activity During WWII

He served as a Private First Class in WWII with the 100th Infantry Division (Century Division), 398th Infantry Regiment, Third Battalion, Company L, in the European Theater of Operations. Killed in Action in Germany on April 5, 1945, he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the Combat Infantryman Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.
