Activity During WWII

He enlisted 12/9/1943. He was trained at Mare Island to be a crane operator. After completing his training he was assigned to a floating dry dock (USS ABSD-4) stationed at Manus Island in the Admiralty Islands off the coast of New Guinea. He spent 17 months there repairing damaged war ships and sending them back to war. He was honorably discharged on 1/14/1946.
