Activity During WWII

Served in North Africa and India. Survivor of the sinking of the British transport ship HMT Rohna in the Mediterranean on November 26, 1943. The loss of American soldiers totaling 1,015; the largest troop ship loss in WWII. The Rohna was sunk by a German radio-controlled glider bomb. Received the Purple Heart.
