Activity During WWII

He flew combat sorties in a P-51 Mustang while assigned to 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Forces, European Theatre of Operations. He was subsequently killed in action during the Korean war. Assigned to 39th FIS, 35th FIW based at air field K-9 in defense of the Pusan Perimeter. On 17 April 1951 his F-51D Mustang received a direct hit from enemy flak near Kumwha in North Korea.
