Activity During WWII

Joined the military and was sworn in at Victoria, Texas in the United States Army. After Basic Training due to the needs of the service he was fast tracked in training. He was assigned to the 47th Infantry Regiment of the 9th Infantry Division. He was shipped out of New York City to England an then to North Africa. He was killed in action in hand to hand combat. He was buried at the North Africa American Cemetery, Carthage, Tunisia. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
