Served with the 200th Coast Artillery Regiment Anti Aircraft G Battery. American defenders of Bataan and Corregidor, Southwest Pacific Theater, Philippine Theater, Philippine Islands. Prisoner of war, detained by the Japanese, held at Camp Osaka main camp Chikko Osaka 34-135. Liberated after surviving Bataan Death March and Prisoner of War. Received the American Defense Service Ribbon with one Bronze Star, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, Philippine Defense Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct medal, WWII Victory Ribbon, Distinguished Unit Badge, Headquarters-Far Eastern Air Forces, seven Overseas Service Bars and Purple Heart Medal.
