he joined the United States Army in 1942. He wanted to go the aid of his country. He was sworn in at Fort Sam Houston military recruitment station, San Antonio, Texas and was immediately assigned to basic training. He was then assigned to the Battery A of the 189th Field Artillery of the 36th Division and was immediately sent overseas to the European Theater Of Operations and saw duty in Italy. He was killed in action on November 22, 1943. He received may commendations for his duty.
