Activity During WWII

Inducted into Army of the United States, January 1944, in Los Angeles. Graduated Airborne and Demolitions Schools. Paratrooper with Demolitions Platoon, Headquarters Company, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. Served in Battle of the Bulge, parachuted across the Rhine in Operation VARSITY. After V-E Day, served in Communications Platoon of 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, U.S. occupation forces, Essen, Germany; then in the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, U.S. occupation forces, Berlin. Discharged January 1946 in Los Angeles. Recipient of the Combat Infantryman Badge.
