Activity During WWII

Upon enlistment in the Army Air Corps in 1939, he reported for duty at Wheeler Field, Hawaii, where he was cited for exceptional behavior during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. He was ready for deployment during the planned ground invasion of Japan, but the air bombardment at Hiroshima precluded this event. He continued his service after WWII.
