Completed 25 combat missions as Top Turret Gunner/Flight Engineer on B-17 type aircraft with the 100th Bomb Group October 1943 through February 1944. En-route to the States from England 8 April-22 April 1944. Army Air Forces gunnery instructor for 1 year. Medals awarded include: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Ribbon and one Bronze Service Star, and Good Conduct Medal.
