Served with the 91st Bomb Group, 324th Squadron as a Radar Navigator. In the attack on Berlin on 3 February 1945 his plane was hit by flak over the Tempelhof marshaling yard. The entire crew was killed. His remains were interred in a Prisoner of War camp cemetery and re-interred after the war the Ardennes American Military Cemetery.
