In England/Europe 1943-1945, was Operations Office of the 354th Fighter Group and 70th Fighter Wing. Landed on Utah Beach on D-Day leading ground controllers directing bombing and strafing. Awarded 2 Bronze Stars, French and Belgium Croix de Guerres and Belgium Order of Leopold II.
