Activity During WWII

Master Sergeant. Served from October 1940 - July 1944 with the 248th Field Artillery Battalion in the American and European Theaters. Killed in action near San Donato, Italy on July 13 1944. Entitled to the Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. VFW Post 3609 in Darlington, SC is co-named in his honor.
