Activity During WWII

Served in the Pacific Theater of Operations Campaign – Battle of Aleutian Islands. Entered U.S. Navy 16 Apr,1940. Duty stations includes: Boot Camp at Norfolk VA, Specialty Training as a Metalsmith at Pensacola FLA, N.S.R.S. San Diego CA. Transition Training Squadron, P.F. Patrol 43 Hedron FAW-4. Served on the following Ships during the Campaign: U.S.S. Chaumont FAW-4, U.S.S. Casco Hdqtrs Sqd. FAW-4 PATSU Two, U.S.S. Hulbert Hedron FAW-4, U.S.S. Casco Attu Island Hedron FAW-4, U.S.S. Casco PATSU 4-4 FAW-4, and the U.S.S. Greyhound (iX106) (former U.S.S. Yale) FAW-4 Attu to Adak 22 Aug 1943. Returning back to San Diego and later Discharge from Shoemaker U.S. Navy Hospital 28 Feb 1945.
