Activity During WWII

Was attending military pilot training at East Texas State when the program was closed and all student were sent to the Infantry. He got Infantry training at Camp Maxie near Paris, Texas before being shipped to France in 1944. He served in a combat during and after the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 where he suffered extreme frostbite to his feet. Received Combat Infantryman badge.
