Drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943 and trained as an X-ray technician. Used as Combat Medic with the 134th infantry Regiment, 35th Division. Entered France at Omaha Beach continued to the Battle for St. Lo, Battle of the Bulge, crossing the Roer River and on toward the Elbe.
