Received Bronze Star Medal with Combat 'V', Navy Cross, Legion of Merit with Combat 'V', Navy Presidential Unit Citation with one star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy Unit Commendation with one star, American Defense Service Medal with one star, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 5 stars, and WWII Victory Medal.
