Drafted on September 11, 1944 to basic training in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Honorably discharged on June 1, 1947. Truck driver (heavy) and automotive mechanic. Operated vehicles from Jeeps up to and including semitrailer trucks, to haul supplies, equipment and personnel. For a five month period, operated 24 passenger bus to make 80 mile daily trip in Belgium.
