Activity During WWII

Served in Washington, D.C. with the Navy Department with the Radio Division, Bureau of Ships and was responsible for satisfying the signal supply needs of the Fleet Marine Force. Received Navy Commendation Medal for service at the Navy Department. In 1944 he sailed for the Pacific and was attached to Fleet Marine Force, Pacific at Pearl Harbor as signal supply officer, Service Command. He took part in several inspection tours of the Palau Islands Campaign and Iwo Jima Operation. For his service in the Pacific, he was decorated with the Bronze Star Medal with Combat 'V'.
