He enlisted July 9, 1942. He served in the European Theater of Operations and was attached to the 331st Bomb Group of the 8th Air Force. He was a member of a reclamation team that salvaged aircraft parts for reuse in 8th Air Force planes. He was involved in the Ardennes, Central Europe, and Rhineland Campaigns. He was awarded the American Service, Good Conduct, WWII Victory, and European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medals. He was discharged December 3, 1945.
