Activity During WWII

From October 1942 to November 1945, served as a Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class, responsible for the continuous operation of the many engines, compressors, gears, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment along with other types of machinery on board the USS Locust Naval Ship. The USS Locust laid and tended torpedo nets, moorings, and buoys and also participated in various towing and salvage operations in the South Pacific Ocean through WWII.
