Activity During WWII

He was assigned to Headquarters Company of the Luzon Force in Bataan in the Philippine Islands, he was taken prisoner of war by the Japanese in May 1942 in the fall of Bataan. He survived the Bataan death march, but died on January 23, 1945 while aboard a Japanese ship being taken to Japan. He was awarded the Silver Star Medal and Bronze Star Medal.
