B-29 Airplane Command Pilot, assigned to the 793rd Bomber Squadron, 468th Bombardment Group (VH), 58th Bomb Wing, XX Bomber Command, 20th Air Force at Kalaikunda Airfield, India in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theatre of Operations. During the morning of 16 June 1944, he was killed when his B-29 Superfortress serial #42-93826 crashed into a foothill of the Himalayan Mountain Range near Wutu, Kansu Province, China.
