Served with 798th Engineers Forestry Company attached to the Air Corps on Guadalcanal in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations for 24 months. Was truck driver attached to the Transportation Corps hauling cargo, ammunition, bombs and TNT. Hauled from supply dumps to reload the ammunition on barges.
